From easy-to-read books for beginning herp keepers to advanced books for experts and breeders, AVS covers all angles of the herpetocultural market.

If you would like your book idea or manuscript considered for publication by AVS, follow these simple guidelines:

Send a typed or computer-generated summary and outline of your proposal to Acquisitions Editor, AVS, 23172 Plaza Pointe Dr. Ste. 230 Laguna Hills CA 92653
Include all chapter headings and a list of the major topics within each chapter.
Describe significant illustrations and appendices, if applicable.
Explain what's unique about your idea or manuscript.
Define your target audience.
Briefly summarize your experience with and expertise in the subject matter.
List your previous publishing experience, if applicable.
Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
